I sat late last night having a bit of fun with this meme which I nabbed from Fleur Fisher reads. You have to use the titles of the books you've read this year to answer the questions.
*****
One time at band/summer camp, I played: Battles at Thrush Green (Miss Read)
Weekends at my house are: Lost in a Good Book (Jasper Fforde)
My neighbour is: Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (Jonathan Safran Foer)
My boss is: The Warden (Anthony Trollope)
My ex was: Crossing the Line (Karen Traviss)
My superhero secret identity is: Dark Fire (C.J. Sansom)
You wouldn't like me when I'm angry because: Our Spoons Came from Woolworths (Barbara Comyns)
I'd win a gold medal in: Eating for England (Nigel Slater)
I'd pay good money for: The House at Sea's End (Elly Griffiths)
If I were president, I would: do Flying Visits (Clive James)
When I don't have good books, I: Vanish (Tess Gerritsen)
Loud talkers at the movies should be: Bone Crossed (Patricia Briggs)

I'm not sure what to say about my replies... as little as possible might be best.

What an adorable meme. I believe you did a fine job of it Cath <3
well i certainly agree with the loud talkers at movies one!! lol
i love the title of My Spoons came for Woolworth... basically that could describe my growning up. Woolworth was a place with cheap merchandise..which was all we could afford when I was young..so I loved going to Woolworths!! lol
Hi Cath,
What some fantastic answers, I was truly impressed by your ingenuity and laughed out loud about a couple of them.
I too can remember spending much time in 'Woolies' as a child. It was something of an institution in those days, somewhere where you could guarantee to be able to buy almost anything, including their great value 'pic'n'mix' sweets!!!
It is a real shame that they have disappeared from our high street forever.
Thanks, Kelly. I usually do one like this at Christmas but it's such a lot of fun I couldn't resist this one too.
Pat: A visit to Woolworths was part of my Saturday morning routine when I was a child. Usually to buy their sweets with my pocket money. lol
Yvonne: It was harder than I thought it would be but a lot of fun.
I agree, the loss of Woolies from our high streets is a sad thing. I too used to enjoy their pick and mix selection... and choosing Christmas cards... and their loose biscuits that my gran always used to buy.
