Calendar of Crime challenge
I'm at it again... another challenge I can't resist. Well it does involve crime fiction after all!
The challenge is being hosted by Bev at MY READER'S BLOCK and the sign-up post is here.
This is a reading challenge that will allow mystery readers to include any mystery regardless of publication date. If it falls in a mystery category (crime fiction/detective novel/police procedural/suspense/thriller/spy & espionage/hard-boiled/cozy etc.), then it counts and it does not matter if it was published in 1892 or 2019
This is the chart for the monthly categories:
Challenge runs from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019. all books should be read during this time period. Sign up any time between now and November 1, 2019.
All the other rules are to be found at the sign-up post.

Thanks for joining me on this one too, Cath!
No problem, Bev. I'm really excited by it to be honest, love all the categories you've chosen.
Wow I do admire these reading challenges. I'm lucky if I read two books a month these days!
I've been very tempted by this challenge too - it does have some interesting categories and I like the fact that it does not matter when the book was published.
Nicola: I find the reading challenges help me to decrease the size of my tbr mountain. The trouble is I probably buy as many as I read, so the pile doesn't go down!
Margaret: Yes, I too like the fact that the books can be read from any publication date. I see you've been tempted enough to join! :-)
I have toyed with trying this new challenge, especially because I like to read seasonal books. But I think I have to limit my challenge participation or it gets to feel like pressure and I can't keep up. I want to do the World at War challenge and a Back to the Classics Challenge. And the European Reading Challenge and the Canadian one.
Tracy: I seem to have signed up for all kinds of challenges this year. I was more restrained last year but decided to have fun with them next. I'm pretty sure some of the book will do for 2 or more challenges so it's not quite as bad as it sounds. LOL I can't make up mind whether to do the European one again.
