Merry Christmas!

I am reading, just finished The Dead of Winter by Chris Priestley, a YA ghost novel as a matter of fact and it was excellent. But no time for reviews at the moment and won't have until the day after Boxing Day really. All I want to do is wish everyone who pops in to read my bookblog a very Merry Christmas. Hope your Christmas is all that you wish for, that you're happy and healthy and that you're not so snowed in you can't get out of the front door! We have been but I managed to get out, at last, yesterday - and promptly fell flat on my backside, but we won't dwell on that... ahem. We're going to have a white Christmas here, we've had so much that unless we get a sudden heatwave it's not going anywhere. So here are a few photos of the views from our house to accompany my Christmas wishes.

Have a very Merry Christmas! Your photos are lovely. We've only got a little bit of snow, but that's okay, I'll appreciate yours from afar! ;)

Hi Pat! Yes thanks we had a really nice Christmas but am also happy that it's behind us now and I have several quiet days coming up, and over the new year too.

Thank you! *hugs back*

*Sigh* over the Christmas package. Turns out another US friend didn't get hers either. Am so annoyed!

Noel: Glad you like the photos. Are you 'Noel' from Facebook and LJ?

Nymeth: The snow has been so beautiful but wow, such a hindrance to everyone. Hope you had a nice Christmas!

Danielle: A little bit of snow would suit me quite nicely to be honest.

Have started the first Daisy Dalrymple book and am loving it.

At long last doing some catching up and just loving your winter scenes and hoping you didn't get snowed in.

We, too, had a white Christmas, with snow still on the ground.

Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

lifeonthecutoff: Most of our snow has disappeared now, at least in our garden... in the town there are mounds as big as Mt. Everest and the pavements are still not very safe.

I assume you haven't been affected by the bad storms that are hitting your eastern seaboard?

Happy New Year to you too.

Val: I hope you're feeling a bit better now!

Happy New Year to you too.
